Help, FAQs, and how to reach us

Frequently asked questions

Is NoiseRecord a certified sound level meter?

No. Readings are reference measurements from your phone’s microphone. Use a professional meter for certified measurements. The App is useful for monitoring trends, documentation, and everyday comparisons.

Why are High Sensitivity readings higher than Standard mode?

High Sensitivity captures more physical sound energy, including low frequencies you may not hear. That is expected — it helps find hidden noise sources, not match subjective loudness.

Where are my recordings saved?

Voice recordings and videos are stored in the App’s Files tab on your device. You can share or export them using the system share sheet.

Background monitoring drains battery?

Yes. Keeping the microphone active in the background uses more power. Enable it only when you need continuous monitoring while the App is not in the foreground.

Microphone permission was denied — what now?

Open Settings → NoiseRecord → Microphone and enable access. Monitoring and recording cannot work without it.
